Origin: Atlas Mountains of South Algeria. Purchased through Paris via Louisville, KY.

Character: This highly figured, an aromatic, fine textured burl grows underground as a root. A highly prized wood, we knew that its first use was during the Roman Empire. Traded by the Babylonians, prized by Emperors. The color ranges from golden brown to reddish brown with a pepper swirling of black "eyes" and black to brown streaks.
