Latin Name: Leguminosae

Origin: Guyana

Character: Moderately coarse texture, grain interlocked and slightly irregular, this is a strong durable wood. Coloring varies from a dark chocolate brown to a paler brown with dark ribbon like streaks. Quarter cut has dark and light band of iridescent rays.

Working Properties: Finishes to a hard, smooth surface. Polishes, glues, and turns well.

Uses: Turnery, inlays, furniture, handles, paneling, flooring, boxes and specialty items

Dimension: Square edge, log run, and slab 4qt to 12 qt 12' to 18' wide 10' to 18' length
