Latin Name Platanus hybrida
Origin: England, These flinches Cut in the city of London from dead or dying stock.
Character: Indigenous to the parks and streets of London, this medium textured, straight grained wood resembles lacewood. The rays are broader and more numerous with an attractive flecked figure. Color ranges from a golden creamy blond, to a more amber blond with iridescent rays. (Like lacewood, sycamore)

Working Properties: Finishes to a smooth surface. Takes polishes, glues and stains well.
Uses: Fine furniture, cabinetry, turnery, inlay, decorative veneer boxes, table tops, specialty items.
