Origin: Guyana

Character: A highly rayed wood, straight grained, medium too coarse in texture. Consistent in color, it is a light reddish brown with some figuring and rose color accents.

Working Properties: Very durable, resistant wood. Finishes to a smooth, lustrous surface with iridescent rose/red accents.

Uses: Furniture components, turnings, flooring, paneling, fine furniture, cabinetry, and specialty items.
