Latin Name: Phoebe porosa
Origin: Brazil, From Southern Brazil, Parana and Santa Catharina Forests. This is the only wood we have from Brazil. It is not an endangered species.
Character: Fine textured, close grained, lustrous wood. Olive brown to chocolate brown, with variegated and figured markings. Our stock has great figure and color.

Working Properties: Finishes to a hard, smooth, polished surface.
Uses: Fine furniture, cabinetmaking, paneling, flooring, gunstocks and joinery.
